Leicester City to return with £23m bid for Ahmed Musa

Leicester City to return with £23m bid for Ahmed Musa.

English Premier League leaders, Leicester City are preserving £23million to make another bid for Nigerian forward, Ahmed Musa in the European summer, the Mirror is reporting.

Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri did his best to persuade the Nigerian captain to the King Power Stadium in the recent January transfer window, but the player’s Russian club, CSKA Moscow refused the deal.

CSKA are comfortably seating at the top of the Russian Premier League tableand confronts Dynamo Kiev in the last 16 round of the UEFA Champions League and they believe allowing Musa to leave would hurt their ambition forthe remainder of the season.

CMusa, who has netted 10 times in all competitions this season, scored a goalto help CSKA beat Valarenga in a friendly last Wednesday.

The Russian club is trying to keep Musa, who signed a new four-year deal last year, for the duration of his contract and even beyond.

But it seems he is poised to see life in the Premier League, and has been assured that Ranieri is impressed enough by him to continue his chase.

Leicester bids of £15million and £18.7million were turned down for Musa last month.

Stoke, Southampton and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in the Nigerian skipper.
