WAT da HELL!!! Detroit woman in cowgirl costume opens fire on driver at gas station, caught on camera

A shooting at a Detroit gas station on Sunday was caught on surveillance video, and the woman who pulled the trigger has since been arrested.

The Mobil gas station where the shooting took place is one of eight Project Green Light gas stations which are part of a project to help police crack downon violence.

Project Green Light allows police to see surveillance footage in high definition from cameras that are monitored 24 hours a day through livestream video directly to police headquarters.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig credited the surveillance images with helping to nab the suspect quickly, noting that they had arrested the woman within two hours of viewing the footage and releasing it to the public.

The woman was arrested when she was driving home and a member of the public recognized her and called it in.

“Huge success, exactly what we had hoped for,” said Detroit Police Sgt. Michael Woody, praising Project Green Light.

“We’re going to see you, and we’re going to see you clearly.”

The businesses involved with Project Green Light have not kept their involvement in the project secret, either, as they have large, bright signs attesting to the fact that those cameras are installed.
