QUEEN SERENA JOSEPH MARKS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF GIRL CHILD WITH EDUCATIVE CAMPAIGN IN SCHOOLS.

A renowned Ex-Beauty Queen and Philanthropist, Queen Serena A. Joseph has joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Day of the Girl-Child, as she moves a campaign to secondary schools in Nigeria, to educate girls on several apparent issues that may affect their future.

The International Day of the Girl-Child, according to the convener of this educative program, Serena A. Joseph, is celebrated to resuscitate the required support and opportunity for girls as well as boost the awareness on gender inequality across the world.

The former Peace Ambassador Queen stated that her campaign focused on personal Hygiene, Etiquette, internet addiction, drug abuse, indecent dressing and examination malpractice especially for the female gender. 

She stressed that the need to collectively fight against the marginalization of girls is basic, especially in Nigeria and in the world over. She highlighted the areas of inequality in education; nutrition, legal rights, medical care, domestic violence, discrimination and enforced marriage.

Queen Serena Amarachukwu Joseph has been involved in several humanitarian projects and charity works.
She is the president and founder of Queen Serena Initiative; a leading NGO in Nigeria. 

Recently she was nominated as a recipient of the distinguished GYMT African Humanitarian Awards along great personalities like Femi Otedola, Atiku Abubakar, Aliko Dangote, Ita Giwa, Funke Akindele, and so many other outstanding personalities from across Africa.
The International Day of The Girl-Child, is declared by United Nations to observe the development of girls across the world. However, some beneficiaries of Queen Serena's educative campaign in Nigeria have expressed great appreciation for the gesture.
